Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

With the recent spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to make sure all of our users are aware of the precautions we’ve implemented to protect our riders and the Revel team.

What Revel is Doing

We have implemented an enhanced disinfection process on top of our normal procedures for all Revel mopeds. This includes:

  • Using COVID-19-effective disinfectants to thoroughly clean any high-touch areas, including the handlebars, brake levers, helmet case, and the seat.
  • Continuing to clean our helmets with COVID-19-effective disinfectants as we always have, giving special attention to the inside and outside of the helmets, the visor, and the chin strap.

All of our full-time staff are eligible for benefits, including health care, sick days, and paid leave. We have instituted a remote work policy for the majority of our workforce, and have mandated that our operations staff who interact directly with the vehicles take the proper precautions and abstain from working if they feel ill.

What You Can Do

  • We recommend following the guidelines issued by the CDC to keep yourself and others safe.
  • Please avoid crowds, practice social distancing, wash your hands frequently and stay home as much as possible.
  • For riders in the cities where we’re operating, please use Revel only for essential trips, whether it’s to your job at a hospital or to the grocery store.

Service Updates

New York

In Brooklyn and Queens, we’re expanding our service area to make it easier for health care workers and others to get to and from major hospital centers like Elmhurst Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn, and SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

To reach more health care workers and hospitals, we’re adding Upper Manhattan (above 65th Street) and its hospitals to our service area, along with other major medical facilities.

Facilities in our Manhattan service area include:

  • Mount Sinai Medical Center
  • Lenox Hill Hospital
  • NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center
  • NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center
  • The Javits Center
  • Bellevue Hospital Center
  • Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System
  • NYU Langone Tisch Hospital
  • Mount Sinai Beth Israel

Important reminders about this addition:

  • Do not ride from Brooklyn or Queens to Manhattan or vice versa. Riders are prohibited from riding Revel to cross major New York City bridges and tunnels.
  • You must end your ride within the service area.
  • You can pause your ride outside of the service area, but it must be parked legally while you do so.

Miami-Dade County has issued an Emergency Order restricting the use of shared mobility options. Beginning 3/18, we have temporarily suspended Miami service. We are in contact with Miami-Dade County and will update our service as the situation evolves.
